As a company, Makro has a strong reputation for its competitive prices and wide selection. It is part of the Massmart group, a major South African retail and wholesale company. This also makes it a sister company to other famous brands you probably know, like Game and Builders Warehouse.

Application Tips
- Make Your CV Match the Job: Do not use the same CV for every job. For the Cashier job, your CV summary should say you are “seeking a Cashier position.” For the Cleaner job, it should say you are “seeking a Cleaner position.”
- Use ‘Trust Words’: These are jobs where trust is very important. Use words in your CV like “reliable,” “honest,” “trustworthy,” and “hardworking.”
- Show Skills, Even Without a Job:
- 1. For Cashier: If you ever handled money for a school event or church, mention it. Add “good with numbers” or “friendly customer service.”
- 2. For Cleaner: If you have experience cleaning at a school or in your community, add it. Mention your “attention to detail” and “high energy.”
- Keep Your CV Clean and Simple: Use a clear font. Make sure there are no spelling mistakes. A CV that is neat and easy to read shows you are professional.
- Check Your Contact Details: Make sure your phone number is correct. Use a professional email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@gmail.com), not a nickname
